Can you play pickleball on a wet court?

Can you play pickleball on a wet court? The simple answer is ideally no; the court needs to be dry for the best gameplay. However, if it begins to rain during a game, players may choose to continue playing since the alternative is stopping the game and waiting for the rain to stop and the court to dry. As long as everyone agrees, playing on a wet court can be done; know that it may be slippery, and the ball bounce will be affected.

Playing pickleball on a completely wet court is risky and not recommended since someone could easily slip and fall. If you do decide to play on a wet court, shuffle your feet often to prevent slipping and be careful of other players who may be moving around quickly.
